Ulrich Kromer Von Baerle, Director at the Baden-Wurttemberg House at Expo 2020 Dubai Ministry of Economic Affairs Tourism, Labor and Tourism Ulrich also expressed his greetings as,
” Warmest congratulations on the 50th anniversary of the founding of the United Arab Emirates. As the first world exhibition in the Middle East, Expo 2020 Dubai already boasts nearly five million visitors – a huge success, for which I’d also like to express my sincere congratulations.”
Sheikh Khalifa praised the capacity of UAE’s accomplishments in the context of knowledge and empowerment since its foundation. While highlighting the remarkable achievements from sending the first Emirati into space to pioneering the revolution for women’s empowerment, he stated, “We have come a long way in empowering women and youth and developing a diversified economy. Outer space welcomed our first Emirati astronaut and our Hope Probe in historical milestones that have made our nation the first in this sphere in the Arab region and the fifth worldwide.” Sheikh Khalifa was awed by the achievements of the UAE, as he envisioned its bright future and further added: “We have introduced to the world an inspiring development success story, which has rendered our country a leading regional and international financial centre, and a sought-after place to live, work, invest and travel.”
“In so doing, we have surpassed others in terms of well-being, service excellence, corporate governance, trade openness, quality of life, and entrepreneurship.”

As part of the UAE’s 50 Anniversary celebrations, the UAE’s Golden Jubilee Committee released a theme song on Wednesday named ‘Hathi Al Emarat.’ The song title translates to ‘This is UAE.’ and exhibits the UAE’s achievements over the past 50 years and expresses pride and love for our homeland.

Mariam Bint Mohammad Almheiri, Ministry of Climate Change and environment, paid a visit to the Netherlands pavilion in the Sustainability District at Expo 2020 Dubai, an intelligent structure abounding with sustainable solutions centered around the water-energy-food ecosystem.

In honor of Antarctica Day on December 1, 2021, the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (AED) gathered people from the UAE who witnessed the world’s polar regions, Antarctica and the Arctic, at the Dubai World Expo for the very first time during the UAE’s Golden Jubilee Week.
